Start now!…just do it!

We have talked about all those variables that could compromise your way to success, from where you are to where you want to be. We spoke about fear, belief in yourself, regrets, setting goals, clarifying your vision and purpose, change, breaking out of comfort zone, the people around us, the doors that open when you least expect them, and how everyone needs to start somewhere.

It is now your turn to start. To take that leap of faith.

“Many people die with their music still in them. Why is this so? Too often is because they are always getting ready to live. Before they know it, time runs out”.

There is no perfect time to start, so the best strategy is just to jump in and get started. You do not have to know everything to start, as you will learn while doing. “Quit waiting until you are perfectly ready. You never will be”.

Pursuing a passion, something that lights the fire in you, that makes you wake up in the morning happy and energized, doesn’t always have to be about money. As an example, my personal experience is not about making money: it’s about finding something that makes me happy and means something to me, and as a result, everything else falls into place and has very positive effects on everything else in my life. This, to me, also means being successful: means growing, means developing, means taking action.

We have now completed the journey of my favorite book, “How to get from where you are to where you want to be”. And I would like to conclude with a list of bullet points from the last page of another book that I just finished to read “One Million Followers” by Brendan Kane:

  • shoot for the moon
  • understand who you are so you can give your gift to the world
  • there is a difference between who you are and what you do. Focus on who you are for lasting success
  • be trustworthy. Trust is at the core of everything
  • build strong relationships
  • create your own opportunities
  • the only way you can fail is if you quit
  • do everything in your power to make your dream a reality
  • take your time. Don’t rush into things
  • be patient
  • start today and live your dreams

We will talk next about the “13 things mentally strong people don’t do”, another amazing book I read a while ago written by Amy Morin.
